Miracle gro potting soil for indoor plants
Editor’s note: This article is the third part of a series on growing your first house plants.
Today, I would like to share with you what we consider to be the best of all the Miracle Gro Potting Soil lines.
I have been in the houseplant business for over 30 years, and I love the diversity of products available to choose from. I don’t own a greenhouse, but as a commercial grower, I travel back and forth, so it’s important for me to choose products with long-lasting quality and performance.
Although many plants are easy to start from seed, it is almost impossible to start some from cuttings. One of the reasons that plants are seedlings is that they’re able to grow and adapt from something they ate as a seed. Since they’re cuttings, they don’t have that ability. They do grow out of the sprouts, however.
They can be a little tricky, but you can do it. The things that we look at in a potting soil are drainage, nutrients, and water holding capacity.
We tested these things in several pots, and this potting soil won. It has everything you need, including, as you’ll see, a very big bonus!
Why you need to use potting soil, and how to find it
After years of trial and error, we discovered that Miracle Gro Potting Soil is the best product for growing healthy, happy house plants. As a commercial grower, we chose to use only soil that is designed for plants and is used in commercial growing.
When you buy Miracle Grow, it comes with a growth chart of 12 different houseplant varieties that have been tested. If a particular product doesn’t fit into one of these categories, it has been listed as “Not recommended.”
Of course, you could buy your own pots and soil, and that’s ok, but if you’re in the market for a cheap product, there’s no need to spend the extra money on soil.
You can buy a product that has only one use, or you can buy a potting soil that has a 30-year warranty. If you buy the wrong soil, it can be expensive and messy to get rid of it later.
Also, if you buy products that are inexpensive, you risk mixing ingredients that can be harmful to the health of your plants.
A big problem we ran into with commercial products was that they had a very short warranty period. A 30-day warranty means that the customer can exchange it in 30 days, but it would be more realistic to have a warranty that covered any problems that may arise.
On the other hand, a 12-year warranty tells you that the product should last a long time, and
